St. Tropez – French Paradise in June

Few places in the world incite as much green-eyed envy as the French Riviera’s golden child. A party paradise, a Michelin haven, and a highly happening spot for those who adore lounging on beautiful beaches with beautiful people. St. Tropez is brimming with beach clubs meaning you can strip down to our luxury beachwear, call for more champagne, and lose days stretched out on soft white beds. For those skimming the Mediterranean on a private yacht, may we introduce St. Tropez as the perfect port of call?

Where to Anchor

St. Tropez Harbour will be your first glimpse of France’s golden child. While St. Tropez is hailed as the land of glamor, the harbor has managed to maintain its rich nautical heritage with wooden walkways and pretty sailboats bobbing in the blue. The Port de Saint Tropez is hugely sought after, and berths fill up quick – often with A list celebs, models and millionaires. This is the spot you can step straight off your yacht and into the Hotel de Paris for an aperitif that says; ‘you have arrived.’

If you do want to spend the night ashore, then the Hotel Byblos is the one with watch. For half a century this prestigious hotel has been hosting the worlds elite and with its elegant village feel, its gauze of greenery, and its 17th-century panels it’s not hard to see why.

Where to Dine

Dining in St Tropez is always an event. La Vague D’Or is rumored to have the best tables in town and with LVHM behind the name that doesn’t come as a surprise. Curating culinary art certainly seems to be a skill of Chef Arnaud Donckele, with his three Michelin stars and Provencal hand, the man is a master of taste and texture.

L’Opera is another sure-fire celeb hangout, spending the daylight hours as a lavish restaurant lounge, before turning on its heel in the evening and changing into a fire-breathing wild and wonderful cabaret space. Expect Mediterranean inspired décor with glass walls, diamond whites, and exceptional gastronomy that very much sets the gold standard for the jet-set crowd.

Where to Play

Pampelonne Beach should be your premier place to play when sailing through the playground of St Tropez. This is where you will find the all-star lineup of beach clubs, including the iconic Nikki Beach, Club 55, Bagatelle (Note: Bagatelle Beach is now closed… for full details of St Tropez beach clubs in 2019 check out our article on the best St. Tropez Beach Clubs this summer), and a new strategy that sees world class hotels like Byblos and Hotel de Paris open their own social havens on the sands. After dark, head down to Les Caves du Roy to hang with the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Beyonce at this world-famous nightclub.

If the champagne brunches and boozy beach club scenes send you searching for a dose of rest and respite, we suggest heading into the prettiest Provencal scene at La Reserve Ramatuelle and making use of their spa. Tumbling olive groves, the soft scent of lavender, and Zen-like architecture invite you to melt into heaven with the hotels extensive Crème de la Mer inspired treatments.
